June 30, 2009
After a lot of test I’ve got an Ubuntu working on my netbook!
This is glxinfo output:
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc

OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.0 Mesa 7.2)
What I did?

gpg –keyserver subkeys.pgp.net –recv-keys 0x99D6B21CC6598A30
gpg –armor –export 0x99D6B21CC6598A30 | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.27-11-generic
sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-2.6.27-11-generic
reboot
sudo apt-get install poulsbo-driver-3d poulsbo-driver-2d
reboot
Hi,
for what reason did you install the backports package?
Becouse of the wifi module.
Hi, I did the same as you on Dell Mini 10 but over Ubuntu 9.04. The performance of my installation is very bad, the CPU work to hard with Xorg process. Did you have the same results or is only about dell hardware?
We should define “bad” …
I’m not happy with the performance. It’s really slow to scroll web pages with Firefox and glxgear obtain 200 fps.
Is it the same for you?
I have had similar results, 210~240 fps. But, the most important is that, the graphic interface (xorg) was hung, at least once a day.
The problem is 3d support. I remove the 3d support, don’t have more crashes on Xorg and glxgears results is 270~300fps
The AO751h is now fully supported by jaunty (ubuntu 9.04)…
